Museum: Art Gallery
The Melaka Art Gallery is located at Jalan Laksamana, Bandar Hilir. The gallery displays various artworks of local and foreign artist. The Melaka Art Gallery is also known as the PERZIM Art Gallery.
Museum: Al-Quran Museum
Opened to the public on 10 January 2008 in conjuction with Ma’al Hijrah 1429, Melaka Al-Quran Museum was built to showcase Melaka as an Islamic country and the coming of Islam to the Malay world. This museum also functions as a resource centre in relation to Al-Quran and Islamic education.
Museum: Submarine Museum
The RM12.5 million submarine museum showcasing the French-made SMD Ouessant Agosta 70 class submarine, deemed a waste of money by some quarters, is expected to attract about 500,000 tourists and visitors to Malaysia’s “historical state” by the end of the year.
Museum: Transportation Museum
As an adjunct to the development of the motor industry, the Chief Minister of Melaka, YAB Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam, initiated the “Car Emporium” concept which was officially declared open on 2 January 2010.
